Unless otherwise indicated, all dates prior to March 24, 1751 are written in New Style. According to the Old Style, the new year began on March 25th. The New Style year began on January 1st as it does today. To avoid confusion, some researchers have used two dates (ex. Feb. 18, 1657/58), the first date being the Old style date and the second date being the New Style date. I have chosen to just use the New Style date. In 1752, New England adopted the New Style dating system.I would like to thank all the Individuals who have contributed information, and have helped me track down my missing ancestors. I would also like to thank the Onondaga County Public Library in the Galleries of Syracuse, NY for maintaining a very fine genealogy section. I am also indebted to the Orange County Genealogical Society for their assistance with my family from that area.
